Mental Health HCA at Portsmouth Hospitals Trust

Job Title: Mental Health Healthcare Assistant

Banding:Band 23 (dependent on experience and specific skill sets)

Location:Portsmouth Hospitals Trust

Working Hours:Fulltime/Parttime

Rate: 14.00 15.93

What will your responsibilities be

  • Assist patients with daily living activities promoting independence.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients mental and physical health.
  • Adhere to professional standards and hospital policies.
  • Document patient interactions and care provided.
  • Support nurses and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in relevant mental health settings (within the last 12 to 18 months).
  • Competent in vital signs NEWS and escalation procedures.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and Care Certificate (preferred).
