To excel in this role youll need
- Previous experience working on the Openreach OH/UG network
- Experience splicing dressing fibre within closure trays internal/external labelling cables and trays as per the job pack/schedule.
- Understanding of how to use an OTDR optical power meters and various methods of testing and fibre fault finding PON/optical networks.
- NRSWA Unit 2 Signing Lighting and guarding
- Experience of connecting customers from the access node; installing fibre drop cable CSP ONT and in home CPE.
- Able to prove duct routes in both Exascale and Openreach PIA networks using rod and roping methods
- Demonstrable experience in cable and subduct pulling techniques
- Knowledge of how to blow large fibre count cables over 24km distances fleeting cable at midspan points.
- Willingness to travel between distribution and spine network deployment sites/areas.
- Ability to work in confined spaces from time to time such as manholes.
- Set up a area of work safely inline with the various regulations
