Job Description

Education and Experience:

o Associates Degree required
o Bachelors Degree preferred


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

o Minimum five 5 years administrative experience.
o Super User for SIS
o Prior experience in Special Education preferred
o Advanced computer competency in various databases and Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn other software as needed.
o Ability to create manage and edit spreadsheets and various reports
o Must have meticulous attention to detail
o Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals and problem solve
o Excellent organizational interpersonal and time management skills.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Ability to analyze and work with substantial amounts of data.
o Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments work independently and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary/Objective:

The Data Specialist Lead position is the team leader for the SA/RTF Student Data Team. The Lead ensures the data team follows and adheres to state and federal timelines; assists the Office and Project Supervisor as well as the PowerSchool Specialist with required reports billing responsibilities and analyzing data. Performs data verification checks to maintain the most accurate data possible; assists in streamlining data processes in consultation with the Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

Administrative Functions:

Serve as the lead between the Office and Project Supervisor and the SA/RTF SDT (Student Data Team)

Generate fiscal year to date monthly and quarterly reports from various SA/RTF databases including but not limited to: IEP (Individual Education Plan) and ER/RR Compliance

Manage the October 1 count for state reporting and oversee the December 1 count for SA and select RTF students

Assist PowerSchool Specialist with data verification to maintain data integrity across all databases

Coordinate and project manage all assignments from the Office and Project Supervisor for all SA/RTF related activities

Partner with Office and Project Supervisor and PowerSchool Specialist on interviewing and training new employees

Training specialist for all SA/RTF Student Data responsibilities

Daily review and management of various SA inboxes referrals and web tickets to ensure response timelines are always on target.

Oversee all SA/RTF SOP development and Job Descriptions as needed

Student Data Specialist Functions:

Backup for all SA/RTF Student Data Team Members

Utilize Student Information Systems (SIS) superuser skills for data administration and the addition of new staff members

Subject matter expert for SA/RTF questions and assist with troubleshooting issues

Partners with Office and Project Supervisor and Supervisor of Student Data for all Billing and Reporting needs

Verification of School Calendars to ensure that they have the minimum number of contracted professional staff days

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a fulltime 260day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work may vary based on position and division but generally are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel: Little travel to client locations is expected for this position.
