Job Description
Job Title:Transformer Repair Helper 1st Year
Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Performs a variety of routine and standard maintenance testing and repairs on distribution oil filled equipment. Also conducts field testing and repair of equipment as needed.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates condition of oil filled equipment and makes repair recommendations.
- Complete repairs to equipment according to established operating procedures.
- Operate powered industrial trucks and jib cranes to handle equipment.
- Properly label and package equipment according to Entergy specifications for shipment to end user.
- Conduct field repair and testing. Also perform repair and calibrations on more complex devices.
- Follows safety rules and regulations and assists shop crew to meet daily goals.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum experience required of the position
1 2 years of industrial repair shop experience
Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position
- Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials able to perform basic math calculations some knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements.
- Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and small cranes. Must have valid drivers license.
