Job Description
Serco are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the civilian team at the Enoggera Defence Base. If you are passionate about providing highquality patient care and are looking for a better work life balance this could be the role for you!
About the Role
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane and provides support to Gallipoli Victoria Bulimba and Damascus Barracks. The largest base in South Queensland it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters a major manoeuvre formation local support facilities and a range of training facilities.The health centre provides primary medical aviation & underwater medical surgical outpatient dental nursing physiotherapy mental health and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
- Standard Clinic hours: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 3:30 PM.
- Part time role: 2 day a week Monday and Tuesday 15 hours
Primary Duties
- Assist with patient assessment treatment and management including referrals to other healthcare professionals
- Prescribe medications vaccinations and order diagnostic investigations
- Provide clinical leadership to improve care policy and collaboration across all health levels
- Apply advanced knowledge and autonomy in both stable and complex situations
- Manage patient clinical records file reports and book/recall patients as needed
- Oversee relevant patient clinics (e.g. preadmission vaccination clinics)
- Participate in quality improvement activities including clinical reviews health surveillance and auditing
- Order and maintain clinical stores pharmaceutical supplies and manage clinical equipment maintenance
- Implement and monitor administrative policies procedures and instructions
- Perform additional duties as delegated by the JHC Facility Manager including quality management infection control work health and safety equity and emergency control warden responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings staff training and assist with the provision of training to other staff members as directed by the supervisor/senior clinician
What Youll Need to Succeed
- Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse General and Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA
- Nurse Practitioner registration required to be within a general adult acute care setting and/or primary health care environment (excludes practitioners with narrow fields of subspecialities including paediatrics geriatrics oncology neonatology and midwifery)
- Minimum of 2 years fulltime (or parttime equivalent) Nurse Practitioner experience within a general adult acute care setting primary health care environment or military within the last 5 years

You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
