The Department of Human Services Norristown State Hospital provides dedicated highquality care to the people who call Norristown State Hospital home. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Social Worker 1 you will function as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and be involved in providing group treatment programs to the patients as both a primary therapist and backup. Social work responsibilities include the completion of initial and annual assessments the development of a treatment plan with a multidisciplinary team and the provision of appropriate clinical services. You will serve as a liaison/therapist/resource to families and community agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelors or masters degree in social work or social welfare.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
