Job Overview
The Designer will work with the engineering department design team to produce design submittal drawings for customer approval and compliance with the projects design intent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works as part of the engineering team to produce submittal drawings per standard designs.

• Develop standard part designs using SDS2 drafting software

• Compiles engineering documentation and submittal calculation packages that include structural calculations production specifications and RFIs for the structural components of all product lines.

• Provides problemsolving solutions to fieldwork issues for fit and finish.

• Visually communicates internally and externally product ideas and solutions by the use of 3D CAD software.

• Identifies and resolves potential design problems or inconsistencies.

• Ensures all drawings and specifications meet required standards and codes.

• Ensures compliance with required design safety factors tolerances and specifications.

• Keep up to date with the latest drafting software and advancements.

• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Education Skills and Requirements

• Associates degree from a twoyear college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• 3 years of experience with computeraided (CAD) tools as well as experience with design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite or Sketchup.

• Ability to be punctual and work scheduled hours.

• Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to travel a minimum of 20 to job sites.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 3D modeling software experience preferred: SDS/2 RISA SolidWorks Inventor

• Bilingual in Spanish

• Rails Ramps and Stairs drafting experience

• Flat Shallow and Deep foundation or Civil drafting experience

• Structural Steel experience

Office setting with some onsite visits for measurements and understanding project requirements.
