The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching research patient care outreach and public service.
The duties of this position revolve around teaching research and clinical activities. The teaching duties of the position involve participating in the education and training of medical and nursing students house staff and the regional medical community along with regular attendance in Educational Curriculum. A component of the position involves establishing and maintaining scholarly research activity directed toward the improved understanding of the causes detection and treatment of diseases. The clinical component of the position involves providing clinical care to patients at the University Hospitals and Clinics as well as affiliated hospitals and clinics and engaging in public service through consultative activities in the appointees specialty with nonUniversity groups. This position will be primarily practicing Hillsboro Medical Center.
Knowledge and Skills: Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to be a selfstarter and organized; ability to work as a team member and also independently; must possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude; possess excellent communication skills (verbal written and active listening); and be flexible to work all day as necessary for patient demand Monday through Friday with some weekends during assigned call shifts.
