ABOUT THE POSITION
This position will be responsible for developing recommending and implementing compliance programs and initiatives in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This position is anticipated to ensure that hospitals and clinics continue to achieve compliance standards with entities including but not limited to the California Department of Public Health Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Joint Commission. This position will have dual reporting to the County Executive Officer Health Care Agency Director and the Board of Supervisors. It will lead the Health Care Agency and associated Boards and Committees in maintaining a culture of compliance privacy safety and highquality care for the community we serve.These are entrance requirements to the recruitment process and assure neither continuance in the process nor an invitation to an interview.
Education/Experience: The required knowledge skills and abilities can also be obtained by completion of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in public health administration health services administration business administration or a related field AND five 5 years of healthcare compliance which includes internal auditing and experience in the development and implementation of HIPAA and/or privacy compliance programs and have management experience which includes supervisory/management of responsibilities over unit/division operations.
