Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster is a leader in orthopedic care with five locations across Lancaster and Lebanon counties. We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our clinical team as a Clinical Assistant in our orthopedic physician practices.
Schedule/Work Environment:
Full Time
Weekdays 5hour and 10hour shifts between 6:45am6:00pm with possible Saturday rotation
No Holidays/Call

Job Description/Duties:
Welcome Patients to the practice.
Ensure all related reports labs and information is filed is available in patients medical records prior to their appointment.
Prepares patients for examination including suture/staple removal.
Acquire Vitals and accurately document in EMR.
Interview patient for allergies medications and history.
Assist the physician in the exam room.
Prepare Injections/supplies using sterile technique.
Apply Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
Provide patient education for care after visit.
Maintain equipment and stock exam rooms.
Assist with patient checkout.
Provides patients with accurate information when answering questions and concerns.
Complete referrals accurately and appropriately.
Acquire radiographic images using ALARA when licensed according to state regulation.
Other Responsibilities:
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
Maintains patient records and protects patient confidentiality.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
Adheres to company attendance standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters Degree from a CAATE accredited university athletic training program.
Licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
Must hold a current BLS for healthcare providers.
Must have all state required clearances.
Valid Drivers license is required.
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a degreed program preferably in the healthcare field.
Experience using a computer is strongly preferred and being comfortable with learning new technologies.
Strong organization skills.
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Time management skills.
Strong organizational skills.
