We are adding to our existing Home Assistance Team to help deliver the everincreasing demand for grants / loans programme within North Lincolnshire.
This post is fulltime / permanent however we would consider someone who wishes to work parttime.
Do you have sound knowledge of domestic construction can you spot defects and offer solutions to remedy them
Can you design adaptations based on recommendations by Occupational Therapists to enable the elderly and vulnerable to remain in their homes longer by providing them with access solutions

Based at Home / Church Square House Scunthorpe within the Home Assistance Team you will form part of a dedicated team working on delivering the grants / loans programme within the Councils Home Assistance Policy within the boundaries of North Lincolnshire.
The role has two main surveying functions and the focus will switch between the two depending on demand and priorities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced housing surveyor with practical knowledge of using HHSRS and the ability to produce schedules of work to remove serious hazards and who also has experience of designing adaptations to enable disabled people to live in their homes for longer.
Whatever your experience you must have excellent communication skills especially with regards to liaising with service users many of whom are elderly and vulnerable. Experience of managing works on site and contractors would also be an advantage.
You will have the ability experience and confidence to work unsupervised and as part of a team especially when work crosses over into other areas.
Good Computer Aided Design (CAD) skills would be advantageous as would an understanding of grants legislation.
You will be provided with excellent admin / IT support and continuous professional development to enable you to carry out the role and develop your skills accordingly.
