The Department of Computing Science requires sessional instructor(s) to teach on a contract basis a variety of firstyear second year and some selected upperlevel courses in the Winter 2025 semester including introductory COMP 1230: Computer Programming courses (Java) COMP 2230: Data Structure and Algorithm COMP 2920: Software Architecture & Design COMP 2160: Mobile Applications Development COMP 2680: Web Design and COMP 4610 Advanced Database Systems. The ability to teach in several of these areas would be a definite asset. Other courses may be considered depending on the needs of the Department and the qualifications of the candidate(s).
Responsibilities include delivering lectures conducting labs and seminars and assessing student work such as assignments tests and examinations. All courses are predeveloped and offered regularly. Please note that some courses may be scheduled on Saturdays in addition to weekdays. Preference will be given to candidates with flexible availability including Saturdays. Successful candidates may be offered a full sessional workload.
