Job Description
Procurement Specialist
Location: Onsite ONLY
Position Overview:
As a Procurement Specialist you will collaborate with a crossfunctional team to develop and lead commodity strategies drive sourcing initiatives and achieve total cost reduction objectives. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a resilient and weatherproof supply chain for our business unit. You will take charge of highvalue aerospace and industrial components sourcing activities optimizing costs and leading major negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing activities and negotiations for medium and highvalue aerospace and industrial components focusing on cost optimization and comprehensive contract coverage.
- Drive major contractual and price negotiations with existing key suppliers ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement tailored supply chain strategies that deliver longterm improvements in quality cost and delivery performance.
- Support internal procurement transformation programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with global supply chain management counterparts senior stakeholders and other procurement teams within Siemens to recommend sourcing strategies at the business unit and Siemens Energy global sourcing board levels.
- Provide regular reports on plans activities and results to direct and functional managers.
- Ensure strong cooperation with internal customers ensuring early involvement and a focus on customer care.
- Promote the use of eprocurement tools to enhance data accuracy automate processes standardize management information dashboards and foster supplier collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience 8 years) required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or commodity management.
- Strong commercial contractual and project management skills with the ability to negotiate and manage complex agreements.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix environment.
- Exceptional communication presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive decisionmaking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Prior experience as a strategy consultant and/or a law degree is advantageous.
