Job Description

Position Summary
This 9month fulltime nontenure track faculty position will serve the Equine Sciences program in the Department of Animal Sciences by leading teaching efforts related to providing a solid foundation in young horses on the ground and under saddle with a focus on the preparation for sale. CSU is seeking an individual with extensive teaching and horse training experience specifically in group settings with the ability to engage a diverse group of students in experiential learning opportunities as they develop their knowledge of horse training methods and techniques. The successful candidate will apply sciencebased best practices to enhance student learning and ensure horse wellbeing as they lead and coordinate the daily care of horses used in relevant courses. Additionally the successful candidate will integrate their teaching and training activities into the Equine Sciences curriculum and collaborate with other faculty members in their efforts to conduct relevant research projects. Lastly this position requires a commitment to engage with equine industry stakeholders and effectively communicate with faculty staff and students.
