Qualifications
A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:
- Bachelors degree in plastics or related field
- 57 years of experience
- Plastics experience
- Working knowledge of injection molding processes
- Troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical skills
Responsibilities
- Performs tool qualifications.
- Aids in the development of plastic processing project instructions to ascertain test specifications procedures objectives test equipment nature of technical problem and possible solutions such as part redesign substitution of materials or pats or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.
- Devises and recommends new or modified components of plastic injection molding machinery.
- Conducts tests such as process window studies and design of experiments of plastic injection molding processes to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors or obtain data for development standardization and quality control.
- Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specification.
- Records test procedures and results numerical and graphical data and recommendations for changes in process product or test method.
- Identifies and records any problems relating to the product process and quality system.
- Other duties as assigned.
