About the Role
The Production Manager oversees production operations ensuring efficiency quality and compliance with safety standards. This role involves supervising production employees optimizing workflows and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train production staff to meet performance goals.
- Collaborate with maintenance warehouse quality assurance and other departments.
- Monitor and improve production efficiency quality and safety.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs GMPs and company policies.
- Optimize labor and machinery utilization for costeffective production.
- Track production performance and report results to management.
- Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Manage employee performance including hiring training and evaluations.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a production management role in the food industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Food Technology or Manufacturing background preferred).
- Strong leadership problemsolving and time management skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to change.
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Food Science Manufacturing or related field.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Experience with ERP and production planning software.
- Background in food safety and regulatory compliance.
