Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Dundee MI Hotel part of VP Managements hospitality portfolio. As a Maintenance Technician you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel by maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the building equipment and guest rooms. This is a fulltime individual contributor role located in Dundee Michigan.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities including guest rooms common areas and equipment
Complete work orders and conduct preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Troubleshoot and respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous and professional manner
Ensure that all maintenance issues are resolved quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction
Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and repair any potential issues
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities expenses and inventory
Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities prioritize tasks and minimize disruptions to guests
Adhere to all safety and security procedures and report any safety hazards or concerns to management
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel to guests and fellow team members
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in maintenance preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must be able to lift push and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
