Job Summary: The First Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for supporting the Head Golf Professional in managing all aspects of golf operations and the golf operations team at your respective golf course. While delivering an exceptional experience for Tahoe Mountain Club Members and Guests. The First Assistant Golf Professional will be a key player in our Golf Operations Management team responsible for daily operations staff management tournament coordination and player development programs. This position requires a passionate golf professional who can seamlessly blend customer service and hospitality excellence with operational efficiency.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore as an essential part of your job you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly you may be expected to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above.
Education/Experience: PGA Membership or apprenticeship is required. Bachelors degree or Equivalent; or 4 years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language/Communication: Must possess basic computer skills Word and Excel. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures financial reports and legal documents. Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf rules of golf golf facility operations and tournament operations. Fundamental supervisory practices and principles. Must be extremely organized efficient and detailoriented. Must be highly motivated goal driven and selfstarter. Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworker. Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times. Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Certificates/Licenses/Safet Training: Class A PGA Membership in good standing. Golf Cart Safety CPR Preferred California Supervisor Harassment Prevention Certification within 30 days of hire.
