Job Description
Mankato Motor Company is looking for a full time Service Manager for our Nissan and Volkswagen stores. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing fastpaced industry. The Service Manager would oversee the service departments at our Nissan and Volkswagen stores and would be responsible for:
Hiring and supervising the service department and reconditioning personnel at the two import stores as well as monitoring their performance in servicing customers.
Have knowledge of and stay on top of being in compliance with Federal State and local regulations that affect service operations (for example OSHA hazardous waste disposal).
Creating goals and objectives for the department which includes working through items on the monthly financial statement along with marketing and advertising through the supervision of the owner of the company.
Provide training on administrative policies and procedures for all department personnel. Encourage technicians to keep their skills up to date through periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by the automotive manufacturers.
Ensure daily inventory of technicians time is consistently sold to service customers.
Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty and policies and procedures while serving as a liason with the factory representatives.
Maintain the highest Customer Service Index rating from customers by handling customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy.
Attend managers meetings.
Qualifications/Skills
Automotive management experience
Reynolds and Reynolds experience preferred but not required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good math skills are needed.
Valid drivers license with good driving record.
