Were recruiting for an Electrician to join our team contractually based in Basingstoke and covering North Hampshire.This isa full time permanent position working 39 hours per week alongside participationinthe emergency oncall rota.Youll need to live within a suitable distance to attendout of houremergencieswithin a reasonable time frame and will be paid at very competitive rates for the on call rota!

Heres the facts about the role:

As an electrician youll carry out electrical repairs and installations to our domestic and commercial properties. Youll make sure you work in line with all current IEE Electrical Regulations whilst maintaining high Health & Safety standards. Youll fault find on circuits and appliances carry out cyclical P.A.T testing and electrical testing. Youll also assist the building contracts team when required on programmed works.

Youll need to have:

  • City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & Part 2 AM2 Certificate OR equivalent.
  • And NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation along with 18th edition wiring regulation.
  • 2391/4/5 (inspect & test) is desirable but not essential.

Please ensure that your current qualifications are clear on your CV or application!

Youll be able to demonstrate good allround electrical skills including testing fault finding repairs and installation. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be an advantage.

  • Working at heights
  • Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
  • A high degree of mobility which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles

A full clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary.

Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS check.
