Job Description
This is skilled trades work performing preventive maintenance work (scheduled maintenance inspection) and emergency repairing heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and other mechanical systems. As of November 14 1994 employees must possess the appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians (as required under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act 1990. Knowledge of the installation maintenance inspection alteration and repair of heating ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Knowledge of the operation maintenance and repair of building mechanical and energy management systems. Skill in installing maintaining inspecting altering and repairing heating ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Skill in the operation maintenance and repair of energy management systems. Ability to install maintain inspect alter and repair heating ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Ability to operate maintain and repair energy management systems. Ability to use hand tools and power tools and equipment properly. Ability to read and clearly understand blueprints. Ability to plan organize and coordinate work assignments.
