WBNSTV the TEGNAowned CBS affiliate in Columbus OH has an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform complex tasks including preventative maintenance and repair of building grounds and related equipment. Duties will include but not limited to general building maintenance (HVAC systems plumbing minor electrical drywall repair painting carpentry) clearing snow from parking lots and sidewalks and applying salt assisting other trades as needed.

Position is fulltime and onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Respond immediately to emergency building maintenance requests.
• Repair leaky faucets toilets dispensers and snakeclogged plumbing when necessary.
• Wall cleaning painting drywall when necessary.
• Repair and replace doors and windows when necessary.
• Minimum electrical work depending on experience.
• Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws power sanders drills air compressors paint sprayers and various hand tools required for carpentry plumbing and maintenance skills.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Five 5 years experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Must have a valid Ohio Drivers License.
• Follows through with all tasks assignments and job duties in a timely manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problemsolving skills.
