We are actively searching for a career minded Accountant who is looking to expand his/her knowledge and experience to add to our Corporate Accounting team in Atlanta GA. This position requires a strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting principals combine with 25 years of experience with full cycle accounting (preparing journal entries posting to the GL generating and reviewing trail balances preparing adjusting entries generating financial statements and closing the books). Tax experience is a plus. This is an opportunity for International exposure and being part of growing organization. This position is based in our Corporate office in the Buckhead area of Atlanta GA.
Responsibilities
- Participate in month end close prepare journal entries upload financial results and support other closing tasks.
- Contribute to the annual audit by preparing necessary deliverables.
- Support external auditors to ensure the integrity of internal controls maintain supporting evidence and assist with their testing.
- Respond to financial information requests from LG Chem Corporate in Korea.
- Perform all the accounting tasks under the team leaders guidance and companys policy.
- Support the tax manager for federal and state income tax returns compliance process and work paper preparations for the all its affiliates.
- Responds to notices and inquiries from various taxing authorities.
- Assists with tax audits from various taxing authorities.
Experience Requirements / Competencies
- BS Accounting or other relevant degree
- 25years of large public accounting firm or corporate accounting experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word
- Experience with SAP a plus
