About the Role:

Join the PlayStation Client Application SDK Team as a Staff Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the technology that empowers our clientside developers to deliver engaging and highquality experiences for users. Lead the creation of innovative crossplatform solutions for developers and consumers: from debuggers and simulators to the technology that drives our user experiences on all client platforms. Your influence will help define the future of PlayStations client SDK and internal developer tools. Tackle complex challenges at scale blending your expertise in crossplatform client SDK development and delivering tools to multiply the effectiveness of client application development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Architect design and implement complex software systems to deliver highquality maintainable and scalable solutions enhancing consumer experiences and developer productivity.
• Influence the architecture and performance of client applications shaping the future direction of PlayStations client SDK
• Work closely with teams from various functions to define project requirements and ensure seamless integration across platforms
• Mentor and guide engineers foster a culture of inclusion continuous learning and technical excellence
• Undertake thorough code reviews to maintain coding standards and guarantee the development of superior software
• Identify and implement performance optimizations to keep our software innovative and efficient
• Solve complex and ambiguous challenges with creative and critical thinking to deliver outstanding solutions
• Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies applying this knowledge effectively to drive innovation and maintain PlayStations competitive edge

Qualifications:

• A proven track record of leading and delivering complex software development projects in a professional setting
• Exceptional proficiency in C
• Proficiency in JavaScript is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of web technology
• Experience with POSIX development mobile development and containerization technologies
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions mentor team members and drive innovation in client SDK and developer tools
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to approach complex challenges creatively and analytically
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills effectively working in diverse teams with multiple functions
• Adaptable and curious with a passion for embracing new challenges and technologies in client SDK and developer tooling
