About the Role
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join this highprofile team where excellence in investigative journalism has been recognised with62 Walkley Awards and 23 Logies.
You will create and deliver original newsbreaking agendasetting reports of the highest standard for broadcast and digital on the ABCs premier investigative current affairs brand. We are seeking an outstanding reporter with a strong track record in investigative journalism who will be responsible for;
- In collaboration with our researchers and producers researching writing and presentingapproximately four to five long form stories per year for digital and broadcast.
- Generating investigating and breaking stories that have an impact on the national agenda.
- Creating and generating content for digital and socials.
About You
You will be an outstanding senior reporter with excellent research skills and a strong track record in high quality investigative journalism and will be able to demonstrate:
- A proven ability to originate and deliver major national newsbreaking agendasetting and awardwinning stories.
- Excellent research and writing skills including the ability to conduct excellent incisive interviews.
- Strong experience in or demonstrated aptitude for television and digital presentation and production (a show reel or demo tape is required).
- A sophisticated understanding and mastery of digital storytelling techniques and ability to deliver high quality content for all online and social media platforms.
- A ready supply of strong original story ideas appropriate for 4 Corners.
- The ability to work closely and collegially with a small team in an intense highpressure environment and under demanding deadlines.
- Extensivecontacts and networks and a wide deep knowledge of major social economic political cultural and international events and issues and asuperior command of all current political economic social cultural and international issues and events.
