About the role
The Assistant Technical Designer will provide support to the Technical Design team including the development of Flex Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) packages preparing samples for fittings and maintaining fit sample approval reports to achieve well fitting consistently sized garments that meet Lane Bryant brand standards.
The impact you can have
Help prepare technical specification packages with garment construction details
Measure garments attend fit sessions and prepare fit session notes/ reports
Provide vendors with additional corrective action recommendations illustrated by photos diagrams and email communication
Act as the liaison for communication between Merchandising Product Development Design and Quality Control for the quality process and the resolution of issues and problems
Organize and file fit samples/patterns for each collection/season
Review customer feedback data and partner with Senior Technical Designer to implement corrective actions
Work with Sr. Technical Designer to compile weekly & quarterly reports of customer reviews
Youll bring to the role
A degree in Apparel Design Technical Design or Fashion Design
13 years of experience in Technical Design Production Design Product Development and/or Store Operations
Basic knowledge of pattern making garment construction basic grading and vendor/factory communication
Strong working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word Excel Illustrator Flex PLM experience preferred
Detail oriented and deadline driven with strong with organizational skills

This position works in a hybrid model with three days per week worked in the New Albany location and two days per week worked remotely.
