Summary of Position
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain handson experience in clinical trial data analysis statistical programming and oncology research. The intern will support statisticians by assisting with data analysis statistical programming and the implementation of novel statistical methodologies. This position provides handson experience in applying statistical and computational skills in a pharmaceutical setting with opportunities to work on realworld problems related to clinical trials and drug development.
Responsibilities and Job Duties
- Assist in the implementation of statistical methodologies to support drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Develop and execute SAS programs to enhance data visualization and generate highquality graphical outputs.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to support datadriven decisionmaking.
- Assist in developing technical documents reports and presentation slides to effectively communicate statistical findings and methodologies to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Attend seminars and company activities to enhance understanding of the drug development process and the role of biostatisticians in a biotechnology company.
Minimum Qualifications
- Rising Sophomore Junior Senior or Graduate Student enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Mathematics Statistics Public Health or a related field.
- Working knowledge in SAS programming.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAS programming for data manipulation statistical analysis or visualization.
- Familiarity with CDISC standards (SDTM ADaM).
- Prior experience applying statistical methods to realworld problems.
- Knowledge of oncology clinical trials or a medical background is preferred
Additional Information
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.50. For nonexempt roles and according to applicable regulations there may be the possibility for overtime pay. Eligible intern employees may participate in the 401(k) plan with employer match and may receive the company holiday benefit if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday. An intern will accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours of working time. Interns are responsible for their own travel housing and living expenses.
The pay rate range is described in good faith and the Company believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidates experience qualifications geographic location and other factors permitted by law. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus commission benefits or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Companys sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole discretion consistent with the law.
