Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions. 1. Any Bachelors degree AND two 2 years of experience; OR 2. Any Associate degree AND six 6 years of experience; OR 3. Possession of a fulltime clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Health Occupations; OR 4. The equivalent; AND 5. Possession of a current and valid California Registered Nurse license or Licensed Vocational Nurse license; AND 6. Two years of nursing experience at least one of which as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital skilled nursing facility intermediate care facility home care hospice care or other longterm care setting; AND 7. One 1 year of experience planning implementing and evaluating education programs in nursing OR 8. Completion of or ability to complete the following prior to beginning instructional assignment: 24 hours of BRN approved or accredited educational institution course continuing education in planning implementing and evaluating educational programs in nursing within six months of employment.
