Support TSAs IT systems and missioncritical systems through operations support technology innovation management services system maintenance and the development and implementation of new software solutions

What Youll Be Doing:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Engineer to join our team. As a VMware Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our organizations virtualization infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing VMware administration virtual machine management troubleshooting and ensuring the performance availability and security of our virtualized environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
Design and implement VMware vSphere virtualization solutions including server consolidation high availability and disaster recovery.
Configure and maintain VMware ESXi hosts vCenter Server and other VMware components.
Monitor virtual infrastructure performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Provision deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs) templates and snapshots.
Implement and maintain security measures for virtualized environments including access controls network segmentation and VM isolation.
Create and maintain documentation related to virtualization configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.

Project Specific Education and Experience
Bachelors degree: additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree
At least 7 years of experience in the related field
An active Secret Clearance is required
Desired: Certified in VMware Certified Associate (VCA) OR VMware Certified Professional (VCP) OR Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
Proven experience as a VMware Engineer or similar role with expertise in designing and managing VMware vSphere environments.
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere features and capabilities including vCenter Server ESXi hosts vMotion HA DRS and vSAN.
Familiarity with VMware NSX for network virtualization and security is desirable.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies for virtualized environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Must be based around the Annapolis Junction Maryland area and be available for onsite work if the need arises
Team player fast learner with ability to work proactively and independently to support mission critical operations supporting geographically diverse locations.

Our estimated salary range for this position is $100000$120000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
