The role:

The Project Engineer/Estimator will play a pivotal role in the Electrical and Renewable Offering division (Searo) of Symal Group

Your impact:

You will drive engineering solutions for key Searo projects including high voltage systems and renewable energy initiatives such as wind and solar farms.

Your every day:

  • Maintain all quality assurance inspection and test plan and testing documentation as per contract requirements including ensuring all specification hold points are met and documented
  • Quantity takeoff and prepare a bill of quantities as required
  • Attend all required site inspections during the tender process
  • Ensure the Clients expectations are met regarding the level of Project Engineer supervision required for the project
  • Deliver procurement in accordance with the Searo / Symal procurement procedures
  • Complete detailed cost to complete in Jobpac and Searo cashflow sheets for the component of works under your supervision each month

Who are you

  • Licensed Electrician or Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience in renewables preferably solar farms & largescale BESS
  • Strong skills in project estimation & proficiency in MS Excel
  • Solid understanding of HV/LV singleline diagrams (SLDs)
  • Experience in summarising and interpreting client technical specifications
