Job Description
Syntronic Production Services Canada is an Electronic Manufacturing Services provider located in Ottawas west end. Committed to our customers success we understand that our people are our greatest asset and we are always on the lookout for great talent.
What you will do
- Actively review MRP outputs to understand and react to raw material supply needs.
- Work with suppliers to confirm product price and lead time.
- Issue Purchase Orders in support of the production schedule
- Adhere to material spend budgets.
- Track Purchase Price Variance (PPV) performance.
- Actively monitor and expedite outstanding purchase orders to ensure delivery dates and production schedules are being met.
- Communicate raw material schedule misses to production planning.
- Gather data and report on supplier performance and other relevant performance indices.
- Occasionally in the absence of the Supply Chain Account Manager:
- Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures and if necessary contribute to their improvement to promote better business practices.
- Proactively build effective working relations with your peers to support optimal supply chain operations.
- Perform other occasional assignments in the spirit and purpose of the role and within the scope of the Supply Chain Management function
Gather raw material pricing information to produce costed bills of material in support of customer quotations.
Work with customers to clarify any bill of material issues.
Establish material spend budgets for new customer orders.
What you will need
- 5 years in a purchasing or similar role. Consideration may be given to recent graduates of a Supply Chain Management or similar postsecondary academic curriculum.
- Prototype/NPI and low volume manufacturing experience is an asset.
- College Diploma or bachelors degree in business or supply chain management is considered an asset.
- APICS PMAC or other Purchasing/Supply Chain qualification/certification is an asset.
- Profound understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
- Proficiency in MSExcel and other MSOffice software.
- Excellent organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate both internally and externally.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload ensuring key milestones and regular deadlines are achieved.
