Architecture Designer I

Ballinger is seeking a Designer I to collaborate with team members through the complete design and construction process. This position specializes in the design and planning of healthcare academic and research facilities working closely with architects and engineers to develop design concepts and translate them into detailed drawings and specifications.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct design related research
• Interface and coordinate with other disciplines
• Develop knowledge of Ballingers project types (health care academic/lab/research corporate/workspace) through onthejob experience repetition and scalability of tasks and responsibilities
• Produce 3D renderings
• Pick up redlines in a documentation set

Technical/Professional Skills

• Interpersonal skills combined with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
• Attention to detail
• Selfstarter able to independently generate design ideas
• Ability to take direction within a larger team
• Working knowledge of Revit AutoCAD SketchUp Enscape or other modeling software applications

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Architecture or equivalent; BS or BA degree in Interiors or knowledge gained over years of work experience; or MArch
• Entry level or up toFive years of experience
• Working toward Professional Registration
