The Surveys and Mapping Unit provides corporate Legal Surveys and mapping services in support of the Citys planning development and infrastructure operations and to enable all Cityled construction projects.
You are responsible for analyzing compiling interpreting and creating Legal Survey Plans and products. You must consider a variety of complex matters such as property ownership; including dominant and servient interests geodetic control digital mapping data and Legal Survey retracement principles to enable you to prepare legal survey plans geographically related base maps sketches and drawings ensuring their conformance to relevant Provincial Statutes and Regulations. You must operate complex interactive computer programs to enable the creation of these products.
Completion of 3 year community college diploma in Geomatics or a related discipline with a concentration in Legal Surveys
Minimum of 4 years of experience in survey and mapping data compilation
