Description

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist our Pharmacy Technician / CPhT procures prepares packages distributes and disposes medications and pharmaceutical supplies to assist the department in providing quality pharmaceutical care for all patients.

Day Shift: 8:30a5:00p

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Successful completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program or enrollment in a professionalrelated school preferred.
  • 6 months experience as Pharmacy Technician or completion of ASHPaccredited tech training program preferred.
  • Current CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA and active Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration or current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with a current Georgia Pharmacy Intern license.
  • Must maintain certification an



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (MediumHeavy) 3675 lbs 033 of the work day (occasionally); 2035 lbs 3466 of the workday; (frequently); 1020 lbs 67100 of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers typing reading writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Bloodborne pathogen exposure Biohazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock Floor Surfaces Hot/Cold Temperatures Indoor/Outdoor conditions Latex Lighting Patient care/handling injuries Radiation Shift work. Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators may be required.
