Job Description
Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group isrecruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at our Internal and Family Medicine North Macon location. We are looking for candidates that would thrive in a fastpaced highvolume environment. Our location diagnosis and treat patients ofall ages.
Provider functions independently including coordination and facilitation of administrative and clinical activities in collaboration with a supervising physician to provide the following essential functions listed below but not limited to.
Essential Functions
- Primary Care Setting
- Provides assessment diagnosis treatment education referral and followup for a shared or owned panel of patients or may handle on a byvisit basis.
- Manages multiple chronic illnesses performs minimally invasive procedures and works with a stable patient population.
- Recommends screenings and tests based on patients demographics.
- Manages health care within protocols mutually agreed upon by physician and APP team members.
- Identifies abnormal findings early and initiates appropriate intervention.
Experience in a primary care setting preferred
Education Experience and Certifications.
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing required.
Nurse Practitioner
- Masters Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. AGPCNP FNP PNPPC or ANP certification according to population served.
