Job Description

The Department of Neuroscience at Tarleton State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a focus on investigating the neural processing of pain. The successful candidate will work in the Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychophysiology research laboratory led by Dr. Amber Harris Bozer which investigates the neural processing of the multidimensional nature of pain. We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a background in dolorology who preferably has experience working with electroencephalography.

This is a fulltime position located on Tarletons main campus at Stephenville Texas and is a renewable twelvemonth appointment with a maximum appointment of three years. This is a nonfaculty research staff appointment. Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.

The successful candidate will have earned a PhD or equivalent research doctorate at the time of appointment; will have received their doctoral degree no more than 4 years before the start of the financial support; and will be able to begin employment at Tarleton State University in 2025. If the degree has not been conferred at the time applicant applies for the postdoctoral scholar position a letter needs to be attached from their schools Registrars Office certifying that all requirements for the degree have been met and stating the degree conferral date.

The selected candidate for the position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment be able to communicate effectively in English and be trained in or able to obtain training in the responsible and ethical conduct of research.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Salary Range:

The annual salary is $60000 based on funding availability in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
