Job Description
As a Community Apprentice Software Engineer Intern you will work on the Luabased systems and infrastructure that power the frontends of the Roblox client and studio applications. Youll be part of a worldclass team that is revolutionizing the entertainment industry and empowering millions of players worldwide. During this 12week apprenticeship well support you as you tackle the hardest problems in tech today distributed systems realtime communication 3D coexperience extensive data processing social networking rendering physics.
You Will:
- Design code test and debug features in the Luabased layers of the Roblox client and studio applications
- Ship code to production and improve the Roblox ecosystem from the inside
- Report to a team within our Creator or Engine groups that owns an important area of the Luabased Roblox frontend stack.
You Have:
- Proficiency with Lua and building on Roblox
- Passion for contributing to the Roblox development community
- Excitement for building both Luabased libraries foundational layers and user interfaces
- No serious or recent moderations incidents and are at least 18years old
