Job Overview
The Dispensing Laboratory Pharmacy Technician at Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding plays a critical role in the laboratory by allocating and preparing medications ensuring accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate has a passion for pharmacy and a commitment to patient care.
This is a fulltime position based at our Carolina Park location.
- Dispense Compound Items and package accordingly.
- Packaging selection.
- Compound Item Finished product inventory management.
- Control Item records.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all medications prepared and dispensed and disposed.
- Visual Inspection of sterile products.
- Assist in quality control of nonsterile and sterile products.
- Assist in batch production.
- Other Duties As Assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1year related experience.
- State Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
- CPhT State License preferred.
- Independent Pharmacy in a compounding laboratory experience preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Laboratory Environment
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical and their effects
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be collaborative and able to perform as part of a team.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Ability to read write and perform simple math.
- Pharmacy Software Pioneer a plus.
- Ability to learn.
- Ability to be coached.
