PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineering team supports daily manufacturing operations in the Pittsburgh facility. The focus of this intern project is to provide support to optimize manufacturing processes and material flow within the manufacturing spaces while assisting on larger scale projects throughout the summer.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the Manufacturing Engineering team with process improvement activities
Update and document procedures and performing for process improvements
Collect data on manufacturing processes to support developing a process baseline and also the verification of data collection processes
Present Findings and Lessons Learned to Top Management at end of internship program
Understanding of root cause analysis and failure mode tools
Ability to problem solve and work crossfunctionally with the site team
Qualifications:
Current standing as a Rising Sophomore Junior Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related field Undergraduate or Graduate program required.
Prior internship experience leadership experience or relevant coursework
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Safety oriented
Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
Demonstrated written communication skills
Familiar with computer programs such as Excel and Word. Ability to learn new applications such as database programs
Presentation skills written and verbal
Team Player responds to requests from other parts of the organization and support larger organizational agendas
Learning agility continuously seeks new knowledge creates and fosters a culture of interest curiosity and learning flexibility to change and learns from failure
