Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support a government aviation program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design development integration and optimization of systems networks and data infrastructure to support aviation operations. This role will require expertise in systems engineering network architecture and data management ensuring seamless communication and information flow across aviation platforms. The candidate will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver cuttingedge solutions for missioncritical government aviation systems.
Examples of duties include but not limited to:
- Design develop and integrate systems networks and data infrastructure for aviation platforms to support operational and mission requirements.
- Develop and implement network architectures including secure communications networks data link systems and cloudbased solutions ensuring reliable and highperformance data exchange between aviation platforms and ground systems.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers avionics engineers and operations teams to define system requirements and integrate network and data solutions into aviation platforms.
- Develop and manage data systems for storing processing and distributing large volumes of aviationrelated data including realtime mission data communications and intelligence.
- Ensure systems and networks are optimized for performance security and scalability particularly for government and military aviation applications.
- Implement and manage network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP secure data transmission data encryption and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve network system and datarelated issues during development integration and operational phases.
- Conduct performance analysis testing and validation of systems and networks to ensure optimal performance in both lab and field environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data compliance integrity and protection particularly with respect to cybersecurity standards and military regulations.
- Provide documentation including system specifications integration plans test procedures and technical reports.
- Support OCONUS missions as needed ensuring systems and networks are deployed configured and maintained in challenging environments.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in systems engineering network design and data management to ensure continuous improvement of aviation program capabilities.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in systems engineering network engineering or data engineering with a focus on aviation or military applications.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing network and data infrastructure including secure communications networks and cloudbased solutions.
- Expertise in network protocols such as TCP/IP VoIP satellite communications and secure data transmission.
- Indepth knowledge of systems integration data management and database technologies including realtime data processing.
- Experience with systems modeling simulation and performance analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB Simulink Wireshark or similar).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and technologies particularly in aviation and military contexts.
- Experience working with cloud platforms data lakes and big data solutions for missioncritical systems.
- Familiarity with military standards and regulations related to systems networks and data in aviation environments.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems network and data issues.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide technical documentation and reports. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex communication system issues both in the lab and during field deployments.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on government or military aviation programs particularly with network and data systems.
- Familiarity with aviation systems including avionics communications systems and mission planning tools.
- Experience with cloud computing including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of data encryption and secure data handling protocols for military applications.
- Experience with advanced data analysis techniques machine learning or artificial intelligence for aviation data systems.
- Prior experience with OCONUS deployments and field testing in challenging operational environments.
- Masters degree or advanced certifications in systems engineering network engineering or related disciplines.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI with a FS Poly US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.
