Essential Duties:
- Manage Shipping and Receiving: Lead teams to ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining highquality standards.
- International and Inbound Logistics: Coordinate all aspects of logistics including managing transportation management systems (TMS) for customers.
- Budget Management: Responsible for the budgets of the Shipping and Receiving departments.
- Negotiation: Negotiate freight contracts with carriers to optimize costs and delivery times.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company procedures customer route guides and logistics carrier requirements to minimize fines.
- Leadership: Oversee and guide a team ensuring quality output compliance with regulations and adherence to company standards
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong problemsolving skills including root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Effective time management planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with accountability.
- Proficient in negotiating freight contracts and managing logistical challenges.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a high level of focus.
- Capable of analyzing invoices identifying errors and resolving logistical issues.
- Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Portals
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Transportation Logistics Supply Chain or related field; with 5 years of experience in a similar role including at least 3 years of direct management experience. OR
- 10 years of equivalent work experience and responsibilities
