About the Grampians Health & St Vincents Hospital Melbourne EMR Program
Grampians Health (GH) and St Vincents Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) are working together to explore the implementation of a shared Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as part of their digital transformation journey. This program presents an exciting opportunity to deliver the first Victorian EMR that connects patient care records across rural regional and metropolitan health services.
This EMR program aims to deliver a comprehensive digital patient record across ambulatory inpatient and community services across both organisations.
About the Role
In order to achieve our vision of a single patient record GH and SVHM will be recruiting a shared EMR program team to design build and implement our EMR. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a largescale transformational program across two large health services.
As the EMR Technology Manager for Grampians Health you will be responsible for the delivery of several technical project initiatives. These include:
The planning design and implementation of required IT infrastructure for the EMR across Grampians Health
The identification acquisition and implementation of hardware including end user devices
The design and implementation of a medical device EMR integration strategy
You will work in collaboration with the EMR Technology Manager for St Vincents Hospital Melbourne to ensure the successful delivery of the overall shared EMR technical program.
Classifications for this position will be a HS7 $122k $140k per annum based on experience excluding super).

A Bit About You
Must Have
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or relevant field
A minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager in IT
A sound understanding of networking hosting and end user computing technologies
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of different experts with multiple deliverables in a largescale environment across multiple locations
Ability to work on premise at Ballarat Base Hospital. You will also be required to travel to other SVHM and GH sites within Metropolitan Melbourne and Western Victoria
Possesses a current Victorian Drivers License
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in leading technology rollouts
National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
Nice to Have
Previous experience working in a large scale EMR implementation
A sound understanding of point of care device technologies in a healthcare setting
