Mechanical Project Engineer Intern

Vanderlande is seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Mechanical Project Engineer Intern to join our North American Warehouse Solutions Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven student to gain valuable realworld experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

About the Internship:

As a Mechanical Project Engineer Intern you will work closely with experienced engineers on a variety of exciting projects. You will have the opportunity to learn about the design development and implementation of complex material handling systems. This internship will provide you with valuable handson experience in a fastpaced and collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • CAD Support: Assist in the creation and modification of AutoCAD 2D drawings for approval and installation purposes.
  • Data Analysis: Assist with data analysis related to components accuracy and potential cost improvements.
  • Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement teams to research and source components from thirdparty suppliers.
  • Tooling Support: Assist in resolving issues adding or removing items within the engineering tooling software and programs.
  • Tool Palette and Block Maintenance: Contribute to the development and maintenance of CAD blocks and tool palettes.
  • Project Assistance: Provide support to project teams on various tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on coursework in:
    • CAD Software (experience with AutoCAD is a plus)
    • Engineering projects in a team environment
    • Identifying areas of improvement and streamlining ways of working
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • A strong work ethic a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
