Job Purpose:
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all relevant Maltese regulatory requirements including those set out by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) as well as other relevant regulations across EEA member states where the company passports into including compliance with General Good Provisions (GGP). This role will involve overseeing regulatory compliance implementing policies and procedures Provide advice on complex regulatory and compliance matters ensuring the business understands and navigates its obligations effectively across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations laws as relevant to general insurance operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with compliance colleagues in the UK and report directly to the Head of Compliance in the UK. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage regulatory interactions particularly with the MFSA ensuring a constructive and professional relationship while maintaining a firm and robust stance where necessary.
