Position: FullTime Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Overview:
ExpertHiring is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our school healthcare team. The CNA will work under the supervision of a licensed school nurse to support students’ health and wellbeing ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct health services to students including first aid medication administration and health monitoring under the supervision of a school nurse.

Assist students with personal care tasks including hygiene toileting feeding and mobility support as needed.

Support students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes asthma or epilepsy by following individualized health plans.

Monitor and document student health concerns maintain accurate records and report observations to the school nurse.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate assistance while following school health protocols.

Assist with health screenings immunization compliance and other preventive health initiatives.

Educate students and staff on basic health and hygiene practices.

Maintain a clean and organized health office and ensure medical supplies are stocked.

Communicate effectively with parents teachers and school administrators regarding student health needs and concerns.
Qualifications:
-
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Oregon.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Experience working with children preferably in a school pediatric or healthcare setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Patience empathy and the ability to work in a diverse school environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with students who have special healthcare needs or disabilities.

Knowledge of school health procedures and policies.

Experience using electronic health records for documentation.
