Job Description

Position Purpose:
Under supervision cleans adjusts repairs and performs preventative maintenance on equipment in the Dewatering & Drying Facility and in the Milorganite Storage Facility such as belt filter press classification screens milling equipment product elevators storage bins and/or tanks transporters wet electrostatic precipitators dust handling equipment chemical storage facilities fuel oil storage facilities and other related components in a safe and efficient manner to produce a saleable product Milorganite.
Work is normally performed on the day shift with occasional need to work overtime to meet emergencies process needs and shipping demands.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in an industrial environment and involves exposure to raw sewage confined spaces blended sludges process chemicals odors dust; extremes in temperatures and humidity noise lubricants and moving equipment.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Experience to provide reading writing mechanical and communication skills sufficient for jobrelated materials.
- 6 months to 1 year of work that required basic mechanical maintenance or operational skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Skills in operation of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to operate various equipment for industrial cleanup of dust spills etc. (sweeper).
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Valid Wisconsin drivers license is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to wear breathing apparatus for confined entry.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
