Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager for Software & Hardware Asset Management. This role involves managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle from selection and operation to refresh migration optimization and disposal. You will be responsible for governing this lifecycle and reporting data to improve IT asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage license consumption metering processes for products in scope (licenses software consumptionbased etc.. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with software licensing terms and conditions. Identify and rectify any potential compliance gaps or risks.
- Develop and implement license usage policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and optimize license utilization. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define policies that align with business needs and industry best practices.
- Analyze license usage data to identify opportunities for optimization. Identify underutilized licenses explore license reassignment options and make recommendations for optimizing license allocation and usage.
- Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and cost efficiency for software licensing maintenance and service offerings.
- Maintain a centralized repository of license contracts agreements POs and invoice files. Ensure all documents are uptodate properly described and easily accessible.
- Support software procurement in line with policies.
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the consolidated budget for software products and licenses.
- Act as the main contact during external audits.
- Support strategic tactical and commercial discussions and decisions affecting software and licenses.
- Advise project program infrastructure and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance recommending actions to optimize the software portfolio.
- Stay updated on new licensing models trends and participate in relevant communities.
- Run internal licensing portfolio governance; provide reports on license compliance budget followup optimization efforts and cost savings achieved through license management activities. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and management teams based on data analysis.
- Cooperate and maintain relationships with external suppliers and consulting companies.
- Drive and maintain your own SAM external and internal network represent the organization at external events and conferences SAM events etc.
- Remove road blockers and suggest ways to move forward.
Required Competencies and Experience:
- Proven professional history within license management and administration software licensing software asset management for enduser/desktop software and midtail software products and services.
- Expertise in enduser/desktop software and midtail software licensing principles and contractual aspects.
- Experience leading in a global context with crosscultural awareness and skills.
- Experience with ITSM and SAM tools is an asset (SAM Pro FNMEA FNMS FlexeraOne).
- Strong sense of endtoend ownership management and initiative/proactiveness skills.
- Ability to identify understand and prioritize the interests needs and concerns of various stakeholders including executive level from the SAM perspective.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Comfort with multisource data analysis.
- Technical background is an asset.
- Relevant university degree.
- Complete proficiency in English is required.
- Experience with vendor management is an asset.
- Negotiation skills are an asset.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Maximum 5 years of experience.
