Job Description

The Customer Reliability Engineer Intern will learn critical knowledge needed to effectively represent the company at an inplant site as a Customer Reliability Engineer. The role is designed to give a Mechanical Engineer student exposure to John Crane mechanical seals and related products through handson work. This is accomplished by working rotations in the Inspection/Repair Maintenance Assembly and Engineering/Sales Departments.
  
                 This is a parttime yeararound role with flexible hours based on school schedule.  

  • Inspects disassembles and cleans mechanical seal parts.
  • Reviews part print drawings and makes judgements on parts reparability.
  • Laps mechanical seal faces to design tolerances.
  • Assembles mechanical seals pressure tests and prepares for shipment.
  • Conducts mechanical seal failure analysis and failure root cause analysis.
  •  Assist Sales Team with field needs and customer inside support.
  • Works with branch and regional engineering team for customer process application reviews.
  • Works with Reliability Engineers to run calculations over new and existing seal designs. Communicates with stakeholders at various levels and disciplines.

Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited universitylevel Mechanical Engineering program having completed a minimum of two years in the program.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Mechanical aptitude; willing to work in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word Excel PowerPoint.
  • Some CAD experience; solid modelling a plus.
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills.
  • Must be able to read write and speak English bilingual a plus.
  • Experience working with a diverse group is a plus.

 Pay Range: $23 $30


Must be at least 18 years of age.
