Job Description
ZF LIFETEC is one of the worlds leading suppliers of passive safety systems. As SIMI Automotive a global innovation leader for motion capture software and complete systems for recording and analyzing human movements and a subsidiary of ZF LIFETEC we contribute our experience with camerabased systems to the development of solutions for occupant safety. Together with our colleagues at ZF LIFETEC we are working on adaptive restraint systems.
Tasks
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Software Engineer to join our team. As a Python Software Engineer you will work on a variety of exciting projects collaborating with crossfunctional teams to design develop and maintain highquality software applications and graphical user interfaces for our automotive demonstrators and assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of solutions for camera based assistants and demonstrators.
- Design develop and maintain highquality Python applications.
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code.
- Utilize Python GUI frameworks like Tkinter NiceGUI or others to create intuitive and responsive interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Develop and deploy unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends to apply new techniques and tools to our projects.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Python Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of objectoriented programming and software engineering best practices.
- Solid understanding of data structures software architecture and software design principles.
- Experience with GUI development.
- Knowledge of version control systems (particularly Git).
- Experience with Linuxbased systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Fluent English German B2 appreciated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. PyTest UnitTest).
- Experience with automated build systems and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience in Computer Vision.
