Medical Science Manager Poland

Under the guidance of the Line Manager Medical Science Manager (MSM) drives the implementation of the Country medical affairs plans related primarily to KOL engagement scientific data generation support and data dissemination.

Major/Key Responsibilities

•  
• Perform responsibilities according to GxP (GCP GVP HCC SOPs)
• Report to Line Manager in accordance with Sobi requirements and standards

Scope of the Job 

KOL Engagement :

• Through compliant scientific exchange builds and maintains professional relationships with external stakeholders to expand Sobis research advisory and educational partnership opportunities
• Ensure high standard of professionalism to develop and maintain peertopeer scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in healthcare academia payer and government organizations per strategic territory plans and as requested by KOLs including the management of strategic scientific partnerships and scientific exchange
• Provide scientific liaison support to Investigators currently involved in the Sobis studies (company sponsored interventional or noninterventional studies and investigator initiated studies)
• Participate in KOL engagement planning and maintain KOL plans and update medical customer relationship management system (CRM) in a timely accurate and compliant manner
• Serve as a liaison between healthcare practitioners (HCPs) and Sobi medical affairs

Data Dissemination:

• Contribute to effective and compliant data dissemination according to country medical affairs plan.
• Ensure appropriate scientific exchange with HCPs by fostering fair and balanced medical and scientific communications that are not misleading
• Present clinical and diseaserelated information to a variety of audiences (KOLs HCPs hospital/decision making teams etc. upon requests and/or according to country medical plans
• Support data dissemination at congresses/seminars/workshops according to country medical plans
• May be involved in responding within defined timelines and quality standards to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs and other stakeholders received by Medical Affairs and referred to MA by other Sobi functions;
• Conduct therapeutic training for Sales and Medical colleagues upon request

Medical leadership and strategic planning

• Communicate key medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform refinement of medical strategies or tactics
• Provide scientific input and participate in local medical and crossfunctional initiatives
• Provide fieldbased medical support to Sobis clinical research programs registries and facilitation of the investigator initiated research process.
• Participates and/or leads on internal project teams according to assignment by Line Manager(s)

Knowledge expertise and insights management

• Maintain awareness of and access to internal and external information sources available to support highquality scientific exchange with HCP
• Develop/increase knowledge of medical literature and critical appraisal of scientific publications
• Maintain knowledge base and scientific expertise on all assigned Sobis disease areas and products
• Maintaining personal expertise in MSM best practices.
• Develop and update knowledge of applicable pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations Code of Ethical Practices and company policies
• Gain customer insights opinions and feedback and share internally

Principal Interfaces / Relationships

Internal:  Crossfunctional international internal Sobi team CEERJ and affiliate staff

External:  partner market staff clinicians nurses and biomedical scientists; Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) decisionmakers and decisioninfluencers including patient advocacy groups payers

Qualifications :

Education/Learning Experience

• University Degree level education in a medicalscience background or other related and relevant discipline;
• Demonstrated scientific/medical reading presentation and communication skills;
• Experience in both prelaunch and launch activities
• Experience of strong engagement with KOL network in local country and/or internationally;
• Multistakeholder project management and leadership experience with demonstrated ability to deliver results on time and within budget;
• Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making including regulatory safety legal and compliance environment;

Skills/Knowledge 

• Focus on personal accountability and ownership constantly challenging oneself to take responsibility for continuous performance improvement and operational excellence
• Ability to exchange scientific ideas and information effectively with KOLs and other HCPs;  excellent presentation skills of scientific and medical data to small and large audiences
• Demonstrate indepth therapeutic competency and expertise of the leading science in designated disease state
• Effective listening skills ability to work effectively in virtual teams and in multidisciplinary teams
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of reimbursed patient access related projects highly desirable.
• Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making including regulatory safety legal and compliance environment;
• Average computer skills (MS Office databases etc.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Other languages are an asset.

Additional Information :

• While this role primarily involves officebased responsibilities occasional travel may be necessary primarily for internal meetings training sessions or attendance at congresses.
• Flexibility to be available during weekends and bankholiday days when required is essential for this role.
